Creech Genealogy

There are four data files and two instruction files available here.  Creech Census to 1900  contains transcriptions of the census lines for Creech variant names from 1790 to 1900 for the entire US.

VA-KY-Creech Index is the place to start if you're researching John, Jonathan or Elijah Creech of Lee and Harlan Counties starting in 1820.  In this index, all Creeches and descendant family members (including non-Creech names are listed alphabetically and associated with a Creech Number.  This index number will be used in searching the other files.

VA-KY-Creech Census By Year contains all descendants organized by family in order of age and in order of Creech Number.  It includes entries for each census from 1820 to 1920 for each individual.  Jonathan and Elijah are substantially complete to 1920.  John is complete to 1900 with some 1910 and 1920.  There are about 8800 individuals listed.

VA-KY Creech Raw Census contains a partial transcription of the census lines from 1820 to 1920 and is the basis for the Census by Year file.  There are nearly 20,000 census lines entered here.
